The Master
Once there was one hundred/hundredths making One, and that was all. And in looking outward this One saw that there was nothing, for indeed there could be nothing since He/She was and He/She was all that was. And in seeing that there was nothing, this One turned inward to perceive each of the one/one hundredths. And as He/She traversed inwardly seeking to know Self, He/She perceived the one thousand/thousandths of each one/one hundredth which formulated the One who was. And in perceiving each of the one/one thousandths, He/She saw the one million/millionths of each one/one thousandth of the One. And thus inwardly He/She progressed — knowing Self to the nth degree.
And in knowing Self to the nth degree, this One knew that One was and what One was. And in knowing that He/She was and what He/She was, this One knew that this One was alone. One knew that One was alone because One knew that He was and that She was everything there was, for there was nothing except One’s Self. And so, in knowing aloneness and knowing what One was, One knew that One was All and nothing else.
And in knowing that One was All and nothing else, One understood One’s Self. One understood One’s Self for this One understood what One was and One’s aloneness. And in understanding what One was and One’s aloneness, This One understood solitude.
And in understanding solitude, this One ripped from One’s Self ten/tenths of one percent of Self of the nth degree and set it free never to be absorbed again. So it was that from the inward depths of Self of the nth degree, She created, like His Self, another one.
The Master Pronoun and Two
Once there were two who lived among many under Him in Her place, and Her place was the place of majestic beauty and endless laughter. There was time and dominion for contemplation and meditation. There was time and dominion for expression and creation, and all progressed in peace, for all progressed under Him, the Master of the guild She created. The reason all progressed in peace was Him, for He was the Master of progress. He was the Master of progress because He was the Master of Her guild and Her guild was the guild of all masters. Their craft was the molding of time into living ecstasy and that was their task which was created by Her, given by Her, and taught by Her. In this craft all masters became apprentices under Him.
Now there was that one who lived among these under Him, and he was most inquisitive. Through his search he obtained much knowledge which permitted him to have some under his guidance. So he then taught as he learned which increased his inflow of knowledge twofold, for he learned from listening to Him and also from speaking to them. With this knowledge he grew in intelligence and increased his control over those who depended upon his leadership. Thus it happened that at one time he entertained a thought which provoked much questioning. So great was this wonderment that he could think of nothing else except the relief of his nagging pain, the ache of ignorance. And while in search of his mental salve, he and his following encountered this other.
Now this other was like that one in that she, too, was most inquisitive. However she sought not knowledge but understanding. Through her quest she acquired much comprehension which permitted her to have some under her cultivation. This increased her understanding twofold, for she not only cultured from conversing with Him, but also from conversing with those whom she cultured. Thus she matured as the bond between her and her’s intensified. So it happened that there came a time when she and her companions in this state encountered that one.
So there were three — two among many and Him. And though these two experienced not each other, they experienced Him. Likewise, He experienced them; however, He knew and understood them better than they knew and understood themselves. Since the Master knew their needs, and in understanding those needs, He contemplated their meeting.
Thus the time arrived when that one and this other encountered each in their respective states under Him. They greeted with mutual respect and immediately observed with great care the language of their counterpart. As each spoke each progressed within his and her own reich — that one in knowledge and this other in understanding. Then, after the meeting had closed, each returned to his and her own and spoke to them of the event passed. That one spoke of the imperfections of this other, and this other conversed about the failings of that one. Both were concerned about those who were under the care of their counterpart. So, therefore, they announced that they should deal in the salvation of the misguided — which meant the conversion of those under their counterpart into their own community.
And so it is that all progress under Him in Her place within this peace, for that one and this other and theirs, thinking that each is right in his and her own way, try to win the many over to their side — mind you, not for personal gain, except the possible betterment of self, but for the salvation of the misguided. In this it is seen that the innocent obtain knowledge while the naive acquire understanding. And thus, completing this interval of growth, they proceed through the next phase struggling with the pains of progress under Him in Her place, which is now the place of Shalom.
Breathing
I encountered you and we spoke of the others — your others and my others. We were schooled and knew that I was my others as you were your others. We spoke at length until the wind came.
Amid the vastness where we met, we knew the plane upon which we sat, the space between us, and beyond. We had seen many horizons and would see many more. It came again. Your hair moved slightly. I wondered and was distracted. Your eyes moistened and sparkled clean. I turned my head as we sat and felt a coming swirl and howl. We rose and departed.
Having no need to hide, I knew no shelters. Living in the warmth of the light, I knew no clothes. The breeze again crossed my face and chest; circled, and passed over my buttocks. It became steady, continuous, and soothing. I was dressed in the wind. I smiled and bent my head back to face the sky. Standing in the vastness, I had met the newness of being in this land.
I shook quickly but violently, and became alert, for a chill, without warning, instantly everywhere, laced my being. My eyes widened. That flesh which slept in the light jumped alive. I became suspicious. An unseen furry I felt upon the horizon.
I took a deep breath of the wind that circled about me and with a full chest stomped forward unafraid and sharp witted. All around me currents of movement collided with me. Unseen gusts of movement struck my face and front or glanced off my side. Two steps and I fell. A loud rush began to fill my ears. I turned my head and saw large white clouds begin to form rapidly all around me. I shivered again and knew more than the chill.
The clouds gathered and pressed upon each other. They swooped beneath me. I blinked. Ground no longer supported me. I laid prostrate in a large tunnel of gray cloud. Within the surface of this ethereal tunnel I could see small fluid movement swirling and curving about randomly. I felt it breathe and began to hear the howl rushing through the tunnel from behind. I was afraid and trembled. I could not move. The wind roared forward and entered my bowels. I opened wide my mouth to scream from fright and out poured the wind, Hu, that thundered:
“Allah Abba Aum, I, Allah Abba Aum
Satorist Jen, Yana, Te Wu Wei”
I collapsed.
The sun was high when one of mine woke me. The ground was warm and the grass was plush moss. One of mine informed me that newcomers rested by the river and that the others were jubilant in their speculations as to whom they were and from whence they came. I arose and all around me movements of my following flowed randomly like little pockets of wind playing with fallen leaves.
