What has to be learned? What appears to be significant tendencies of intelligent life currently present in today’s human creatures?  Power acquisition and material gain (wealth) ! Why are power acquisition and material gain (wealth) such unrelenting desires of human intelligence? What is the origin of humans’ strong desire for power acquisition and material gain (wealth)? What must be learned about the qualities of absolute power, free will, and self-discipline? While I have learned much in my life, I am cognizant of the fact that there is much more to be learned and am recalling the anecdote that after writing his voluminous treatise around the UCFC, Aquinas was tempted to destroy all of his work because it was a mere drop in the huge bucket needing to be filled. Facing such a task and not being of the same caliber as that of Saint Thomas Aquinas, how can I hope to manage such a task?

Not knowing the outcome and uncertain of any degree of success, I do what I have always done when reflecting — I start with my first step and hope for the best. My next step along a very long trail of first steps at this point in my life-long reflection, was to meditate upon the image that began this journey into the divine paradox as pictured above.

To me the yin-yang symbolizes the polar opposites that reside in human creatures depicted by the equal fusion of the light and the dark parts that fuse to constitute a perfect circle. At this point such a statement needs to morph into a needed revision. The yin-yang represents the polar opposites that constitute the human spirit, the human consciousness. As such, the yin-yang also represents the polar opposites that reside in the UCFC, the three personages of the Great Spirit. Hindus would have no problem with this understanding.

The Roman Catholic religion as well as all Christian religions and most of the western world would balk at such an understanding because Western Civilization via Plato’s Socrates has good as being absent of any vice or negative impulses. Being raised a Roman Catholic, I am certain of its belief structure. However, once I discovered my resolution to the dilemma facing The Creator in possession of absolute power creating a stone that He could not lift, I awakened in me an awareness of free will that led to the evolutionary process of the yin-yang.

The spirit of the Yin-Yang, the spirit of the UCFC is exemplified in the small symbol at the end of the tile: Evolutionary Process of the Yin/Yang ☯︎.

Stage 1

The first image of these four is my redrawing of the yin/yang without the dark area filled in because I wanted the formulas to be easily read and to indicate that both sides are equal in every respect excepting that they are polar opposites of light and dark. Also, you will notice that I rotated the symbol by ninety degrees. The other images represent more stages of the evolutionary process through which the yin/yang is moving. The image in the lower right side has the dark side colored because the contrast between the light and the dark is becoming more important.

Stage 2

Below are two more images in the evolutionary process of the UCFC’s yin/yang. The dark side is dwindling while the light is expanding, so much so that the formula inside the dark would be very difficult to read.

Stage 3

This evolutionary process eventually manifests into the image below.

Stage 4

In the final state of the evolutionary process, the dark side of the Uncaused Cause of the First Cause’s  yin/yang has dwarfed into a tiny spot in a sea of light. These seven images represent highlights of a more gradual, smooth progression experienced during several meditations upon which I reflected until I came to understand fully the meaning of The Divine Paradox. Reflections on meditations began merging my understanding of free will, absolute power, obsession with material gain (wealth and greed) and self-discipline that highlighted self-restraint — all under the umbrella of omniscience.

An important understanding about my bipedal journey is that Air of Three-thirds of One-third Three Times was written between 1968 and 1969 while these above meditations and reflections were practiced in the last months of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 up to this current recording of the fruits of that long process. My learning has always occurred in chunks augmented after more unrelated experiences that proved to be significant were related after other chunks of learning infused my consciousness. Elements of quantum mechanics might prove useful in understanding the development of human cognition or the development of human consciousness. Unfortunately my understanding of quantum mechanics is far too weak to make such an application.

The formula N/N x 1/N x N = 1 represents the back cover of my text Three-thirds of One-third Three Times of this compilation. The Master of Three-thirds of One-third Three Times is about the solitude of the UCFC who is the One, The Master, who fully comes to embrace the Self. If I am compelled to stay consistent within this reflection, I must conclude that this self-awareness is the impetus that ignites the Big Bang. The Master cannot evolve to embrace the Self without possessing a consciousness which is to say that The Master came to completely know and understand The Holy Spirit completely to the nth degree.

I feel compelled to highlight that it would be a grave error in interpretation of the reality I am attempting to convey to surmise that the dark spot of the yin/yang in the last image would imply that the dark will eventually be completely diminished by the light thereby eradicating all dark from a being that radiates all light. The formula, N/N x 1/N x N = 1, resides on both sides of the opposites that constitute the yin/yang. To maintain the characteristic (the reality) of being omniscience, The UCFC always fully comprehends and understands the totality of the dark side. Hence the totality of the dark side is a significant part of the consciousness of the UCFC. However, the UCFC has free will and exercises that free will as IT sees fit to do so. Hence, as was earlier discovered or revealed, the UCFC also exercises self restraint as was inherent in the now resolved dilemma of creating a stone too heavy for the UCFC to lift. The diminishing of the dark spot into a very small area is the result of the exercising of free will via the choices made and the omniscience of all polar opposites and their interplay in the reality of an evolving creation not yet completed. The overwhelming light displayed in the last image of the yin/yang is the result of the choices made.

Sidebar:

For me, reflection and meditation are distinct, unique processes. Meditation is a process that first begins with a focus point. I used a single candle and focused on the solitary flame. While focusing on the flame, I tried to quiet the discomfort of my physical self while sitting still for an extended time. Once my physical self was calm and still, I moved my attention to quieting my thinking. The meditative state begins with a calm, empty cognitive state. It is about acquiring peace. Once a peaceful state is achieved, thoughts will begin to flow. At this stage it is very important not to resist, block or manipulate the flow of the experience. This is not a state for making judgements. It is a state of peace. If the state of peace is disrupted, then I had to fall back to the beginning focus (the flame) to again attempt to quiet my thinking and regain a state of calm peaceful emptiness. When the flow begins again I must maintain the state of peace while the images, thoughts, impressions, and emotions flow. A meditative state is judgement free no matter what is experienced. I have at times experienced a peaceful, calm state during which I envisioned of an ancient battlefield of dead combatants that filled a vast countryside without experiencing revulsion, sadness, horror or excitement — a horrific scene witnessed in a pure state of peace.

Reflection has the same discipline of focusing one’s attention but is also more about coming to some type of assessment, conclusion or judgement and the like. Reflection does not have the requirement of emotional distance that meditation requires. I have on occasions reflected on the fact that I felt calm and at peace even when I had witness something very troubling during a meditative experience. I find that both meditation and reflection have their separate functions. Practiced together, they are a powerful combination.
