was the key phrase used

a decade or so ago,

but acts that abused

Earth for so long, so deeply,

by homo sapiens, bends

my sight to perceive

humans as a blight on Earth

like plaque on one’s teeth

that attacks the enamel

creating an abysmal

oral precipice

of decaying rot not stopped

by human action.

Population explosion

unchecked has wrecked habitats

when bureaucrats lack

fortitude to protect when

economical

concerns are short termed

over long termed actions that

affirm unfettered

sustainability’s worth

for the health of Earth.

More bodies; more consumption,

more waste to process, more cows

that will allow more

methane production before

meat is ingested

More people means more freighted

goods by diesel guzzling from

eighteen-wheeled transports

hustling from coast to coast and

to boast forcefully

a vibrant economy.

Now, this horde of people sees

the misery of

unrestrained, human species

proliferation.

[Joseph Ward]

Population explosion

has been driven strongly by

deep seeded beliefs

institutionalized by

our cultural

caste of civilized holy

men given to defend their

exclusivity

to the Supreme Deity

who abhors human

employment of birth control

that censors His Supreme Will

to decide who guides

Life’s proliferation on

His created Earth.

Birth is a divine province

fated to chance occurrence.

[Cole]

Again, religion

makes known its importance in

power’s prescriptions

for required behavior

that ultimately favors

power’s perceptions.

But, homo sapiens’ views

askew toward profound

shifts dominating culture’s

priorities dictating

ceremonious

presentations of what is

worshiped as supreme

allegiance to forces of

nature much stronger than Man.

Conjure the essence

of mankind’s religions by

residing among

the first bipedal creatures

who ventured forth from the trees

to walk upright through

the vast, tall grasslands and band

together seeking

new shelter and food. They were

moved to bury well their dead

unlike all other

animals bred in the wild

kingdom of instincts,

a distinct character trait

that opened the gate to the

great journey forward

toward modern human creatures.

The wild filed their

loved ones with some enlightened

perception of life’s value

with funeral rites,

a coup for evolution’s

movement away from

animalistic instinct’s

prominence over reason

with the emergence

of one’s reflections on their

true experience

leading to speculations

of possible actions from

unseeable roots

of suffering or unknown,

unexplainable

salvation from otherwise

insurmountable events.

[Diane]

When the quantum of

probing curiosity

reaches optimum

level to intrigue the mind

to be keenly aroused by

Nature’s hidden side,

the mind begins to expand

an inquisitive

consciousness with a motive

to learn more and explore more

of the core beneath

the surface realities

of vital events.

[Cole]

The inquisitive probing

consciousness of the homo

sapiens’ mind finds

time to structure language that

breaks the bondage of

instinct’s imperious rules

to school us to different

options to pursue.

This path’s origin begins

in tandem with that

of religious observance

of birth with fertility

cults and the results

of one’s homage to the dead.

[Charles Dennis]

Another issue

that you may wish to pursue

regarding world religions

is the assertions

made in Genesis that’s the

basis to unlock

the creation of man and

his mate and the Christian god’s

mandate to humans

to rule and have dominion

over his conferred

earthly creations for all

of his divine amusement.

We, the people of

Mi’gma’gi’ * have not written

any doctrine of

metaphysical beliefs.

We’re inclined to practical

motifs of action

intertwined every day in

what we say and do.
